Medical Disclaimer
Last updated: January 2026 · Please read this important notice
MeowMD is not a veterinarian. The Service provides general educational information only. It does not provide veterinary advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it is not a substitute for care from a licensed veterinarian who can examine your cat.
This Medical Disclaimer applies to the entire MeowMD website and application, operated by AL WASI LLC (MeowMD is a DBA of AL WASI LLC). By using the Service, you acknowledge and agree to this Disclaimer.
1. Educational Purpose Only
All content in MeowMD — including AI health checks, the Cat Health Score, photo checks, food-scan results, care plans, Cat-Chat™ messages, training guidance, and any information provided through the Service — is for general informational and educational purposes. It is designed to help you understand your cat's health and to help you decide when to seek professional care. It is not a medical diagnosis and must never be treated as one.
2. Based on Published Veterinary Research
MeowMD grounds its educational content in trusted, published veterinary references, including the Cornell Feline Health Center, the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), the American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP), the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA), and the Merck Veterinary Manual. General research findings may not apply to your individual cat's specific circumstances.
3. No Veterinarian-Client-Patient Relationship
Using the Service, including AI features, does not create a veterinarian-client-patient relationship between you and AL WASI LLC. Where the Service provides access to licensed veterinarians for telehealth, those interactions are subject to the professional's judgment and jurisdictional rules and still cannot replace an in-person examination when one is medically necessary.
4. Always Consult a Veterinarian
Never disregard professional veterinary advice, or delay seeking it, because of something you read or received through MeowMD. Always consult a licensed veterinarian regarding your cat's health, diagnosis and treatment.
In an emergency, act immediately. If your cat shows signs of a medical emergency — such as difficulty breathing, straining to urinate with little or no output (a possible urinary blockage), collapse, seizures, suspected poisoning, severe injury, or unresponsiveness — contact an emergency veterinarian or animal hospital right away. Do not use MeowMD in place of emergency care.
5. No Guarantees
We do not guarantee any particular health outcome. AI-generated information may be incomplete or may not reflect the latest developments. You use the Service and rely on its content at your own discretion and risk.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, AL WASI LLC is not liable for any decisions made, or actions taken or not taken, based on information provided through the Service. Please also review our Terms of Service.
